5 Islamic Instagram Accounts Actually Worth Following

The average person picks up their phone somewhere north of a hundred times a day. Telling ourselves we'll simply do it less has not, on the whole, worked.
So here's the smaller and more achievable version: change what's waiting there. If a third of what passes your thumb is a verse, a hadith, or a decent answer to a question you'd half-forgotten you had, the scroll stops being purely a drain on your day.
These are five accounts worth that space. Each is there for a different reason — one for news, one for scholarship, one for a scholar's voice, two for daily reminders — because five accounts posting the same quote graphic is just one account with extra steps.

If you want one account keeping you current on the ummah, this is it. Islamify covers Muslim news from around the world — Palestine, Kashmir, Sudan, Uyghur communities, and the stories that rarely clear the threshold for mainstream coverage — mixed with Islamic quotes and reminders.
The mix is the point. A feed of pure news about Muslim suffering is heavy enough to make you scroll past it, which helps no one. Islamify breaks it up, and the result is something you keep following rather than mute after a fortnight.

4. Love Ummaah — for the daily reminder

There's a fair argument that the aesthetic Islamic quote page is an overcrowded genre. It is. 5. Pious Deen — for the human version

Make it actually work
Following five accounts changes nothing on its own. The algorithm shows you what you engage with, and if you scroll past every reminder to get to the football highlights, that's the feed you'll keep.
Three things that help:
Engage with the ones you want more of. Pause on them, save them, comment. That's the only vote the algorithm counts.
Unfollow something. Adding good content to a feed full of what you're trying to avoid doesn't work. One out for each one in.
Save, don't just scroll. Build a collection of posts worth returning to. A saved du'a you can find at 2am is worth more than fifty you liked and lost.
And keep it in proportion. An Instagram reminder is a nudge, not knowledge. It doesn't replace sitting with the Quran, and it certainly doesn't replace a teacher. What it can do is keep the deen in your peripheral vision during the hours you'd otherwise hand over entirely to something else — which, given how those hours currently go, is not nothing.
