The Quran was sent as not only as a guide but as a mercy to us all.

هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَ

 (It is a) guide and mercy for those who do good

 (Surah Luqman, 31:3)

Reading it, particularly in Arabic, is important as we believe it is the words of God, revealed to Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). Reading it is a form of worship, especially when read in a melodious voice with contemplation of it's in depth meanings. In addition, it serves as a timeless miracle due to it's:

  3. Inimitability of its language (I'jaz): One of the most prominent miracles of the Quran is its linguistic beauty and eloquence. Muslims believe that the Quran's language is so unique and powerful that it cannot be replicated or imitated by any human, despite numerous attempts by poets and writers throughout history.

  4. Scientific Miracles: The Quran contains scientific information that was not known at the time of its revelation, and which has been confirmed by modern scientific discoveries. Examples often cited include embryology, cosmology, and the water cycle. 

  5. Prophecies: The Quran is said to contain various prophecies that have been fulfilled over time. These include predictions about historical events and the future, which Muslims believe demonstrate the Quran's divine origin.
