The Greatest Truth
Allāhumma Rabbanā lakal- ḥamdu mil’a-s-samāwāti wa mil’al- arḍi wa mil’a mā shi’ta min shay’in baʿd, ahla-t-thanāi wal-majd, aḥaqqu mā qālal-ʿabdu – wa kullunā laka ʿabd – lā māniʿa li-mā aʿṭayta, wa lā muʿṭiya li-mā manaʿt, wa lā yanfaʿu dha-l-jaddi minka-l-jadd.
O Allah, Our Lord, to You Alone belongs all praise; praise which fills the heavens and the earth and which fills whatever You wish after that. You are Most worthy of praise and glory. The greatest truth the slave can utter is – and we are all Your slaves – there is none who can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold; and the wealth of the wealthy does not avail him from You.
Reference :-Abu Sa’id Khuḍrī (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say [the above] after saying سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ (May Allah respond to the one who praises Him).” (Abū Dāwūd 847)

O Allah, You are Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except You. You are the Rich and Free of all needs whilst we are poor and in need of You. (Ibn Ḥibbān)
Reference :-Aisha (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhā) narrates: “The people complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of a drought. So he ﷺ ordered for a pulpit and it was placed in his place of prayer. He then arranged a day for all the people to gather. Aisha says (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhā): ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out when the disk of the sun appeared. He sat on the pulpit and praised Allah and then said: “You have complained regarding the drought of your gardens and lack of rain for some time. Verily, Allah has commanded you to ask Him and promised to answer your prayers, then he said [the above with the addition of] “Send down rain upon us, and make what you send effective and far-reaching until some time.” Then he ﷺ lifted his arms until we saw the whiteness under his armpit. He then turned his back towards the people and turned round his upper garment while his hands were raised. He then turned to the people and descended the pulpit. He performed two units of Salah. Allah then formed a cloud. There was a clap of thunder and a flash of lightening and it rained with the permission of Allah. He did not stay inside the Masjid until there were streams of water running. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw wetness on the peoples clothes, he smiled until his front teeth became visible. He then said: “I bear witness that Allah is over all things All-Powerful and I am the servant and Messenger of Allah.” (Ibn Ḥibbān 991)

How free from imperfection is the Owner of might, dominion, magnificence and greatness. (Nasā’ī)
Reference :-‘Awf b. Malik (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrates: “I stood with the Prophet ﷺ. He started by using the siwak and performing wudhu, then he stood and prayed. He started reciting Al-Baqarah and he did not come to any verse that spoke of mercy but he paused and asked for mercy, and he did not come to any verse that spoke of punishment but he paused (and sought refuge with Allah from that). Then he bowed and he stayed bowing for as long as he had stood, and he said while bowing: [the above] Then he prostrated for as long as he had bowed, saying while prostrating: [the above]. Then he recited Al Imran, then another surah and another, doing that each time.” (Nasā’ī 1132)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason. (3:190) (They are) those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth (and pray), “Our Lord! You have not created (all of) this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire. (3:191) Our Lord! Indeed, those You commit to the Fire will be (completely) disgraced! And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. (3:192) Our Lord! We have heard the caller to (true) belief, (proclaiming,) ‘Believe in your Lord (alone),’ so we believed. Our Lord! Forgive our sins, absolve us of our misdeeds, and allow us ˹each˺ to die as one of the virtuous. (3:193) Our Lord! Grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not put us to shame on Judgment Day—for certainly You never fail in Your promise.” (3:194) So their Lord responded to them: “I will never deny any of you—male or female—the reward of your deeds. Both are equal in reward. Those who migrated or were expelled from their homes, and were persecuted for My sake and fought and (some) were martyred—I will certainly forgive their sins and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah. And with Allah is the finest reward!” (3:195) Do not be deceived by the prosperity of the disbelievers throughout the land. (3:196) It is only a brief enjoyment. Then Hell will be their home—what an evil place to rest! (3:197) But those who are mindful of their Lord will be in Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever—as an accommodation from Allah. And what is with Allah is best for the virtuous. (3:198) Indeed, there are some among the People of the Book who truly believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you (believers) and what was revealed to them. They humble themselves before Allah—never trading Allah’s revelations for a fleeting gain. Their reward is with their Lord. Surely Allah is swift in reckoning. (3:199) O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful. (3:200)
Reference :-ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbbās (radiy Allāhu ʿanhumā) narrated that he stayed overnight in the house of Maymūna (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhā) the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, his aunt. He added: “I lay on the bed (cushion transversely) while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his wife lay in the lengthwise direction of the cushion. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slept till the middle of the night, either a little before or a little after it and then woke up, rubbing the traces of sleep off his face with his hands. He then, recited the last ten verses of Sūrah al-‘Imrān, got up and went to a hanging water-skin. He then performed wuḍū from it and it was a perfect wuḍū, and then stood up to offer the salāh. I, too, got up and did as the Prophet ﷺ had done. Then I went and stood by his side. He placed his right hand on my head and caught my right ear and twisted it. He prayed two rakʿah then two rakʿah and two rakʿah and then two rakʿah and then two rakʿah and then two rakʿah (separately six times), and finally one rakʿah (the witr). Then he lay down again in the bed till the Mu’adhdhin came to him whereupon the Prophet ﷺ got up, offered two light rakʿah and went out and led the Fajr salāh. (Bukhārī 183)

Lā ilāha illā-l-lāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamd, wa Huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in Qadīr, alḥamdu li-llāh, wa subḥāna-llāh, wa lā ilāha illā-l-llāh, wa-llāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāh, allāhumma-ghfir lī.
There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner whatsoever. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He is over all things All-Powerful. All praise be to Allah and Allah is free from imperfection. There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. There is no power (in averting evil) or strength (in attaining good) except through Allah. O Allah, forgive me.
Reference :-The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever gets up at night and says [the above] and then says: ‘O Allah, forgive me’ or makes du‘ā’, it will be accepted. If he performs wudhū and prays, his prayer will be accepted.” (Bukhārī)

When Changing Sides at Night
Lā ilāha illa-Allāhu-l-Wāḥid-ul-Qahhār, Rabbu-s-samāwāti wa-l-ardi wa mā baynahuma-l-‘Azīz-ul-Ghaffār.
There is no one worthy of worship besides Allah, He has no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty, Lord of the seven heavens and earth and whatever is between them, the Mighty, the Most Forgiving.
Reference :-ʿʿĀishah (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhā) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah would turn and change sides at night, he would say [the above] .(Nasā’ī in Sunan al-Kubrā 10700)
